Beyond the Scope of Practice
It's no secret around here how much I love my OB Dr. Jen. But not just her, all of the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses we had care for us and our little Clark back in the fall.
A while back I got asked to write a piece for National Share's magazine for their February theme of 'inspirational caregivers' and duh, that was easy peasy for me to do...because of the amazingly wonderful caregivers we had with Clark's pregnancy (and shoot, with all of my pregnancies!).
Dr. Jen and the rest of the docs and nurses were a bright spot in a very dark time for us, and I am eternally and forever grateful for each and every one of them.

...and I'll say it again: if you don't have a doc you love and trust with all of your being...go hunting for a new one. It's worth it tenfold to have someone like that in your corner. Because you never know what you'll be faced with and how much of a positive impact those providers will have on you and your family; truly a glimmer of sun on a dark and stormy day. And I am forever and ever grateful for Dr. Jen and all of the wonderful doctors and nurses who cared for us in the fall. My love and appreciation for them goes so deep and I hope they all realize how much of a tremendous, positive impact they have and continue to have on their patients...even on the darkest of days, and every day afterwards.
