2016's 366 Black and White Project
I have blogged a few times with updates about my 366 project, and friends, today, December 31st, 2016, concludes my year-long black and white 366 project.
I decided wayyyyy back on January 1st of this year to do a 366 project (#leapyear) and today, the 366th day of 2016, I completed it. HOLY COW. I cannot believe I made it an entire year AND never missed a day. Absolutely crazy. And totally shows my OCD commitment to things I think
I decided to showcase one snap everyday out of our lives in black and white and it turned into #mooneyblackandwhite366 on Instagram. Today, I’ve officially posted my last picture for this project…and now I’m sharing all 366 days with you!
Now to figure out what I’m going to do with all of these snaps from 2016 — a book? A print? I’m not sure. Ideas are welcome!
Here is a lovely collage (tutorial here) of alllllll 366 snaps from this year. I know it's kinda hard to see cause there is a TON of them, but I wanted to include it anyways.
I thought about literally inserting all 366 images into this post but that was going to be overkill so I decided to just include the collage ^^^ and a link HERE to all 366 pics if you'd like to browse through them.
And now the big question: do I tackle another year project for 2017?! I have like a day to decide…I mean, looking back now, a year later, I LOVE having all of these snaps for 2016. BUT I will tell you some days it was a complete hassle remembering to take a picture or deciding which picture I was going to use that day for my black and white pic. Gah, the struggle is real.
BUT! I think I have come up with an idea for 2017, after tossing around several ideas I'm sticking with my editing theme for the year. 2016 was black and white, 2017 will be matte! So follow along on Instagram starting tomorrow with the hashtag #MooneyMatte365.
Here's to an awesome 2016 year project and hopefully an even awesomer 2017 one! Happy New Year friends!
