18 weeks.
HOORAY for 18 weeks! First off, I want to note that I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER than in probably every other post I've made documenting #3's growth. FINALLY. My sinus/ear infection has gone away, my appetite is back, and haven't had any nausea spells or anything in over a week. Golly, I really do feel like myself again and am SOOOO happy to say that!
Last week I had my 17 week OB appointment (and now, as I write this there's only 2 weeks until my 20 week appointment and ultrasound!!) and everything was looking good! #3's heartbeat was in the high 160s (still predicting GIRL) and everything else checked out really good. I seriously cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going, and maybe that's because with my last 2 pregnancies I was just 7 and 10 weeks at this point (so very newly pregnant) of the year, so now being two months head of the earliest I've been preggo it just I guess feels like it's going faster.
Here's a fun little side-by-side for you. I know I said a few weeks ago that I thought I was bigger with Rosie (at 16 weeks), but alas, I think this pic shows that I am a smidgen bigger at 18 weeks than I was with Ro. I mean, #thatbellytho. Seriously, I think there's a small whale in there.
One difference, in looking back at my old posts with Rosie, I was feeling a lot of movement by now. Don't get me wrong, I have definitely felt some movement, but nothing like I remember feeling with Rosie. I feel tiny flutters here and there, but nothing really consistent or anything like I remember feeling at this point with Rosie. I'm curious to see if I have an anterior (front) placenta in a couple weeks at my ultrasound -- that would explain why I haven't felt much movement! But no doubt in my mind this kid is growing...I do still love listening to his/her strong heartbeat with my doppler now and again.
So! That's about all I've got for week 18! Just 2 more weeks (WHATTTTT?!!) until the halfway point, the big anatomy scan, and I set my c-section date. CRAZY. JUST CRAZY. It is absolutely flying by! Until week 19 friends!
