Impromptu Photo Shoot
This is my last weekend without any photoshoots booked until mid-November. CRAZINESS! But I am soooo looking forward to the upcoming shoots I have booked because fall in STL is goregeousness. The leaves are just starting to turn, so the next several weekends will be prime for some lovely fall photos! I even blocked out a date/time for myself to snap some family photos (thank you tripod + canon app!) and pics of the kiddos in a few weeks.
Anywho, since this was my one weekend without any official photoshoots booked, I thought it'd be fun to take my camera along with me this morning for an impromptu photo shoot at the park! Mike had to work early today (boo hiss), but my parents wanted to come play at the park with us and then grab lunch before naps and this afternoon's Cardinals game, so we decided to hit up this cute little park not too far from our house.
Rosie is officially sitting up all by herself and it makes for snapping pics of her so much easier now that I don't have to prop her up on something or snap her laying down! The colors are just starting to change, and even though she had some serious RB face in 99% of these pics, they still are super adorable.
Patrick randomly (seriously, I didn't even ask him to, he unprompted came and sat down all by himself!) ran up and sat next to Rosie for a few pics too. How sweet is that?! Their expressions kill me.
I also snapped some action pics of Patrick playing and both kiddos swinging on the swings. I've been messing around with my settings on my camera and doing some manual focuses lately and I tested it out again with them on the swings and was really happy with how they turned out! For whatever reason manual focus scares me, but I'm trying to be a big girl and get use to it and snap more pics in manual more and more.
I told my mom how I don't have many (heck, if any!) pics of her and my dad and the kiddos, so I made them sit for a few and snapped them as well. I think the candid shots of her giggling with Patrick are my fave :)
Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed this little impromptu photo shoot post! I can never seem to get away from taking pics, even when I don't have any sessions officially booked! Luckily I have a very cooperative flock that allows me to snap their pics most anytime I want :)
