37 weeks.
FULL TERMMMMMMM!! Woo hoo! I mean, I guess it's technically "early" term, but whatevs. Term is term. So if this kid decides to make his/her entrance, we are ready!
I had my 36 week OB appointment last week and all is lookin' good with #3! Heartrate was 160, and this kid was only measuring 4 weeks ahead (at 40 weeks) now so I think the late game plateau is setting in! I had that lovely group B strep test, and since she was poking around down there anyways she went ahead and checked me and nope. Closed up nice and tight and not dilated. Which, duh, I could have told you because I feel like my ribs are cracking because this kid is sitting soooooo high. I can't believe I only have 2 OB appointments left before we meet this kiddo!
Last week I got my new Tula ring sling and I tossed Scoots in it to test it out. I cannot wait to put a bebe in it in 2 weeks (!!!) and it is sooooo buttery soft compared to the other ring sling I have. It will be great to have for those early weeks when the actual Tula isn't very comfortable to wear post c-section.
I've been feeling pretty good, minus oodles and oodles of Braxton Hicks contractions, tight tummy all of the time, and lots of upper rib and upper shoulder pain. And I've been battling with a cold (as is the rest of the house) so that's been fun. Hoping that's on it's way out soon and I can get back to breathing through my nose again. My appetite, for the first time since I can remember, is back with a vengeance and SO.MANY.THINGS. sound delicious and yummy and I want to eat them. I guess better late than never that it's back, right?!!
Today, since I'm off to work, marks only 8 more (not counting today!) school days left for me before my maternity leave kicks in! I'm excited about it but also that I get to keep teaching my classes in my absence (like I did last go'round with Rosie) which I'm excited about because my video production class is doing some awesome things and I'm glad I can still be a part of it.
Okay! That's about it! I've only got 2 of these lovely weekly update posts left for you (one I'm sure will come SUPER early on the morning of 39 weeks cause that's c-day as well!) -- then they turn into and overposting of baby spam. Get excited. Until 38 weeks friends, adios!
